This article defines how data will be pushed from Quoter to Pipedrive. Learn more about integrating with Pipedrive in this article.
When creating a Quote in Quoter, you can search for an existing Pipedrive Contact using our Person Search feature or create a new one automatically.
The following Pipedrive Contact and Organization fields are searched when using Person Search:
When creating or editing a new Person in Quoter, the information will be pushed to a Pipedrive Contact and Organization. Quoter will try to match Contacts by email address. If multiple matches are found, Quoter will try to match Contacts by company name. Quoter will try to match Accounts by name. If multiple results are found, the first result will be used. If nothing is found in Pipedrive, a new entry will be created.
If changes are made to an existing Contacts address in Quoter, the address will not be changed in Pipedrive.
Address Mapping Problem
Pipedrive uses a single address field in their UI / website, but internally splits the address to multiple hidden fields using Google Maps Lookup or other services. This causes a problem when using Pipedrive Person Search feature in Quoter. The address that you get may not match the address that you see in Pipedrive. This problem is more prominent when you are using a non-English address in Pipedrive.
Unfortunately this is a limitation of Pipedrive API. If you are using non-English addresses, we recommend entering them manually in Quoter.
When creating a Quote in Quoter, you can search for an existing open Pipedrive Deal or create a new one automatically.
When a Quote is updated in Quoter, the Pipedrive Deal will be updated with the value of the Quote. The value of the Quote pushed to the Pipedrive Deal Value will be based on the DEAL AMOUNT SELECTOR setting. If Upfront is selected, the Upfront Total will be pushed to the Pipedrive Deal Value. If Recurring is selected, the Recurring Total will be pushed to the Pipedrive Deal Value.
When a Quoter Quote is won or lost, Quoter will update the status of the Pipedrive Deal according to the mapping settings you configure.
