Overview


Manager Approvals will allow Administrators to create Approval Policies and Rules to control how your organization is quoting by ensuring manager approval should certain conditions be met.

  • Available rules include:

    • Line Item description

    • Line Item name

    • Line Item one-time amount

    • Line Item one-time discount amount

    • Line Item one-time discount percent

    • Line Item one-time margin amount

    • Line Item one-time margin percent

    • Line Item recurring amount

    • Line Item recurring discount amount

    • Line Item recurring discount percent

    • Line Item recurring margin amount

    • Line Item recurring margin percent

    • Line Item source

    • Quote includes adhoc line items

    • Quote one-time discount amount

    • Quote one-time discount percent

    • Quote one-time margin amount

    • Quote one-time margin percent

    • Quote one-time total

    • Quote recurring discount amount

    • Quote recurring discount percent

    • Quote recurring margin amount

    • Quote recurring margin percent

    • Quote recurring total

    • Quote shipping

    • Quote template

  • Rules have qualifiers and can be stacked, for example:

  • Approval Policies can be set to require a single approver, or multiple approvers.

    • If a single approver is required, multiple approvers can still be set but once one of them approves, the Quote will be approved and ready to send to the prospect/customer.


    • If multiple approvers are required, set the order of each approver. Each user will be notified by email when their approval is needed.

    • In the Pending Approvals tab, Quotes requiring a single approver show approvers separated by a "/", Quotes requiring multiple approvers show an arrow between approvers denoting the order of approval that is needed.

    • On the Approval History tab, green denotes a complete approval, red denotes a rejection. For multi-stage approvals, if a Quote is approved but not all approvers approved then it has been overridden by an Account Owner.

    • For a multi-stage approval, if an Account Owner wants to expedite the approval process, under Pending Review > All Quotes they can review the Quote and override the approval.


    • Once a Quote is approved or rejected, all feedback received through the process is saved and visible from the Internal Quote View. Note that approvals overridden by Account Owners are clearly communicated as well.

  • Manager Approvals requires our Pro plan or above, or it can be added to your plan as an add-on.
