Overview

Quoter Clients introduces a new grouping concept that organizes quotes under a client (a business or organization), instead of only under individual contacts. 

Through automatic client grouping, Quoter will automatically group Quotes under a Quoter Client based on an exact organization name match on the quote. This means if multiple Quotes use the same organization name, they will be grouped under the same Quoter Client. 

Merging Clients

By using manual merging, you can link organizations that belong to the same actual business but have inconsistent naming schemes (For example, Acme Incorporated and Acme Inc.).

To manually merge organizations:

1. Navigate to Quotes > Quotes List.
2. In the Quotes List, click on the Client name that you’d like to use for all your merged organizations. 
3. Click Merge Duplicate Clients.
4. Click the checkbox next to all clients you’d like to merge under this Client name. 
5. Click Merge Clients.

All merged organizations will now have the top-level Quoter client added in parentheses after their name (For example, Acme Incorporated (Acme) or Acme Inc. (Acme)).
