Overview

Quoter has two separate shipping address controls:

• The Shipping Address on Quote option controls whether the shipping address is displayed on the quote itself.

• The Hide Shipping Address on Checkout setting controls whether the customer sees the shipping-address section when accepting the quote.

These controls are related, but they do not perform the same function. A shipping address can be hidden on the quote and still be present during checkout if shipping details are already stored on the person or organization record. 

How the checkout toggle works

To hide the shipping address section from customers:

1. Go to Settings > General Settings.

2. Enable Hide Shipping Address on Checkout.

3. Save the settings.

When enabled, customers cannot enter or change a shipping address during quote acceptance. This can help prevent unexpected company or address changes from being sent to an integrated PSA or CRM. 

When disabled, the shipping-address section is available at checkout, allowing the customer to review or enter shipping details where appropriate.

Enabling Shipping Address on Quote

When creating or editing a Quote, simply select Shipping Address on Quote if you'd like to have the Shipping Address displayed on your Quotes:

The Quote will now show the shipping address, like so:

 

If a shipping address is partially populated—for example, only the country or street address is present—Quoter may validate the remaining shipping fields during acceptance. If the checkout section is hidden, the customer may be unable to complete those fields and may be prevented from signing the Quote. 

Recommended troubleshooting

If a customer cannot accept a Quote:

• Check whether Hide Shipping Address on Checkout is enabled.

• Review the quote and the related person or organization record for partial shipping information.

• Either show the shipping section so the customer can complete the required fields, or clear the shipping address completely and publish a new Quote revision.

Use the hide setting when customers should not provide or modify shipping details. Leave it disabled when the customer needs to confirm or enter a delivery address during acceptance.
