Quote Statuses

The Quoter Quote Statuses associated with Quoter's Status Feature are as follows:

  • Pending

  • Accepted

  • Ordered

  • Fulfilled

Pending


All new Quotes in Quoter will have a Quote Status of Pending.

 

Accepted


If Electronic Acceptance has been enabled at the Template level, and payment is not required via one of our supported payment gateways, the end customer electronically accepting the Quote will automatically change the Quote Status from Pending to Accepted. This will also automatically trigger the Acceptance Confirmation email to be sent to your end customer. View our Labels & Messages KB article to learn more about customizing the content of the Acceptance Confirmation email. 

If email addresses have been added to the the Order Notification Recipients under Email Notification Settings (Settings  > General), the specified email addresses will automatically be sent an order notification email. This order notification email will also be sent to the Quote Owner if the  Send Order Notification Email to Quote Owner has been selected. 

Please Note: An email notification will not be sent if the Quote Status is manually changed to Accepted

 

Ordered


If Electronic Acceptance has been enabled at the Template level, and payment has been required via one of our supported payment gateways, the end customer electronically accepting the Quote and paying by credit card will automatically change the Quote Status from Pending to Ordered. This will also automatically trigger the Order Confirmation email to be sent to your end customer. If email addresses have been added to the the Order Notification Recipients under Email Notification Settings (Settings  > General), the specified email addresses will automatically be sent an order notification email. This order notification email will also be sent to the Quote Owner if the  Send Order Notification Email to Quote Owner has been selected. 

Please Note: An email notification will not be sent if the Quote Status is manually changed to Ordered.

 

Fulfilled


An Internal Quote Status to be leveraged once the end customer's Quote has been fulfilled. The status being manually changed to Fulfilled will not trigger any email notifications to be sent externally or internally, but will trigger workflows associated with connected Integrations. 

Please refer to the Integrations section to view the workflows that will be triggered when a Quote's Status is changed. 
 

Quote Acceptance Errors

 

A Partner's clients may occasionally receive the following error upon receiving and trying to accept a quote:

If your client receives this error, the cause is likely one of the following: 

  • The Quote has already been accepted or won (either internally or by the client).

  • The Quote's expiry date has passed. In this case, the Quote can be revised with a new expiry date that will allow Quote acceptance. 
  • The Quote has payments allowed under Acceptance & Payments, but the Partner doesn't have a payment gateway set up. They would need to either disable the payment on the Quote or add a payment gateway.
